Tot School 1.22.12
Luke is 19.5 months
This week I had intended to start introducing the letter A, the color red, and the circle, but our tot school for the week got kinda screwy, since Luke went to the sitter's all morning Wednesday, and we were sitting for the sitter Friday morning. I'll probably carry my "lesson plans" from this week over to next week, since we didn't get to work on it nearly as much as I would have liked. The other three days we were able to get some school in, but I get so in the moment sometimes that I totally forget to pull out my iPhone and take any pictures. We went to the library Thursday night with the sitter and her two girls, while Daddy worked on his homework, but I totally forgot to get any pictures there. These are the pictures I did remember to take for the week.
I let Luke try out the tongs for the first time this week, which I thought would be good for his hand eye coordination.
Then we made a letter A apple craft. Luke and I made this one day, and then I did it with the sitter's four year old when she was over our house. They both enjoyed putting it together.
Then we pulled out the paint and paintbrush again, and since we were focusing on the color red, that's what we used.
Don't worry, it's non toxic, lol.
Luke enjoys painting pictures...and on my brand new marble table... thanks buddy. (Thankfully it comes right off!)
And this is his wall of art!
That's it for us this week!

Tot School 1.15.11
Luke is 19.5 months
Not a ton to report on this week, things have continued to be crazy around here. Bubba is going through his "6 week" growth spurt and has wanted non stop mom noms, so Luke hasn't been able to have as much time "doing school" as we both would like. We did manage to sneak a little bit of time in to try and work on his colors a little bit though.
What started off as sorting pom poms by color...
Quickly turned to stacking cups...
And then putting the pom poms back into the oatmeal canister...
And then back into stacking cups...
And then trying to stack the canister too...
He was NOT happy when I took the canister away.
Then he played with playdough for a while...
But he was really more interested in opening and closing the container than the playdough itself...
That's about it for us this week!
